As we bring Micah forward this morning, we remind ourselves of who you are, O God. You are the Maker of heaven and earth. Our help, all our help, comes from you. What an amazing thought! What is more amazing, O LORD, is your revelation that you love us and care for us as your children. We are your children, Heavenly Father, by faith in Jesus Christ, your Son, who willingly paid the penalty for our sins, and threw open the bright door of heaven for us. Hallelujah!
Jesus taught us that you know our needs, Heavenly Father, even before we ask. And yet, it brings glory to you when we do ask with childlike faith in your goodness and kindness to us. And so we ask you, dear Heavenly Father, to heal Micah this morning. Touch his hip in such a miraculous way that the surgery won’t be necessary. Long ago, you touched Jacob’s hip on the mountain, and it was thereafter a physical reminder of your sovereign working in his life. Father, you know best of all what a positive, everlasting impact would be made on Micah’s life, on all of our lives, if a physical miracle were to happen today!
Your word declares that “all things work together for good” to those who love you, and are called according to your purpose. We rejoice in this most of all! And should you choose not to heal Micah in a miraculous way this morning, we will trust that your grace will prove more than sufficient for this ordeal. May you receive all the glory! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
