“For pass beyond the coasts of Cyprus and see, send to Kedar and consider diligently, and see if there has been such a thing. Has a nation changed its gods, which are not gods? Human history is filled with idolatry. Mankind has substituted all manner of things in place of the one true and living God. Earthly things. Temporal things. Things that ultimately cannot satisfy.
