Although Jesus was referring to his imminent death and resurrection, we may draw out a secondary meaning of the phrase, “a little while”. Our time on this earth, \u00a0however long it may be, is just a “little while”. A little while before we see Him, our Lord and God, in all His glory.! This verse could very well have been the inspiration for Eugene Bartlett’s gospel song, “Just a Little While”. \u00a0The chorus goes like this:<\/p>\n
Just a little while to stay here,
\nJust a little while to wait.
\nJust a little while to labor
\nIn the path that’s always straight.
\nJust a little more of trouble
