Let the peoples tremble.<\/p>\n<p><strong>He dwells between the cherubim, let the earth be moved!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The LORD is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His holy hill, for the LORD our God is holy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Who is like the LORD our God, who humbles Himself to behold the heavens and the earth?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For this is Your rightful due&#8230;.there is none like You.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I saw the Lord, high and lifted up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And the train of His robe filled the temple.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And one cried to another and said: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the temple was filled with smoke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?<\/p>\n<p><u><br \/>\nCongregation seated<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. <em>They<\/em> have all turned aside. <em>They <\/em>have together become unprofitable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All <em>we<\/em> like sheep have gone astray. <em>We<\/em> have turned, every one, to his own way.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Will the Lord our God be pleased with thousands of rams,<br \/>\nTen thousand rivers of oil?<br \/>\nShall I give my firstborn for my transgression,<br \/>\nThe fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?<\/p>\n<p><strong>O Lord, You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it. You do not delight in burnt offerings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:<br \/>\n\u201cSacrifice and offering You did not desire,<br \/>\nBut a body You have prepared for Me.<br \/>\nIn burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin<br \/>\nYou had no pleasure.<br \/>\nBehold, I have come\u2014<br \/>\nIn the volume of the book it is written of Me\u2014<br \/>\nTo do Your will, O God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behold! My Servant whom I uphold,<br \/>\nMy Elect One in whom My soul delights!<br \/>\nI have put My Spirit upon Him.<br \/>\nHe will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?<br \/>\nWhy are You so far from helping Me,<br \/>\nAnd from the words of My groaning?<br \/>\nO My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear;<br \/>\nAnd in the night season, and am not silent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I saw the Lord, high and lifted up.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But I am a worm, and no man;<br \/>\nA reproach of men, and despised by the people.<br \/>\nAll those who see Me ridicule Me;<\/p>\n<p><strong>And the train of His robe filled the temple.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They divide My garments among them,<br \/>\nAnd for My clothing they cast lots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And one cried to another and said: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,<br \/>\n&#8220;He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him;<br \/>\nLet Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many bulls have surrounded Me;<br \/>\nStrong bulls of Bashan have encircled Me.<br \/>\nThey gape at Me with their mouths,<br \/>\nLike a raging and roaring lion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And having blindfolded Him, they struck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, \u201cProphesy! Who is the one who struck You?&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fierce witnesses rise up. They ask me things that I do not know. They repay me evil for good, to the sorrow of my soul.<\/p>\n<p>I am poured out like water,<br \/>\nAnd all My bones are out of joint;<br \/>\nMy heart is like wax;<br \/>\nIt has melted within Me.<br \/>\nMy strength is dried up like a potsherd,<br \/>\nAnd My tongue clings to My jaws;<br \/>\nYou have brought Me to the dust of death.<br \/>\nFor dogs have surrounded Me;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.<br \/>\nThey pierced My hands and My feet;<br \/>\nI can count all My bones.<br \/>\nThey look and stare at Me.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Behold and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow. Which has been brought on me.<br \/>\nWhich the Lord has inflicted in the day of his fierce anger. <\/p>\n<p><strong>And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;<br \/>\nHe was despised, and we did not esteem Him.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, &#8220;Behold the Man!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><u><br \/>\nCongregation standing<\/u><\/p>\n<p><em>HYMN &#8211; &#8220;Ah, Holy Jesus&#8221;<br \/>\nAh, holy Jesus, what law hast thou broken<br \/>\nThat such sharp sentence should on Thee be spoken?<br \/>\nOf what great crime hast Thou to make confession,<br \/>\nWhat dark transgression?<\/p>\n<p>They crown Thy head with thorns, they smite, they scourge Thee;<br \/>\nWith cruel mockings to the cross they urge Thee;<br \/>\nThey give Thee gall to drink, they still decry Thee;<br \/>\nThey crucify Thee.<\/p>\n<p>Whence come these sorrows, whence this mortal anguish?<br \/>\nIt is my sins for which Thou, Lord, must languish;<br \/>\nYea, all the wrath, the woe, Thou dost inherit,<br \/>\nThis I do merit.<\/p>\n<p>What punishment so strange is suffered yonder!<br \/>\nThe Shepherd dies for sheep that loved to wander;<br \/>\nThe Master pays the debt His servants owe Him,<br \/>\nWho would not know Him.<\/p>\n<p>O wondrous love, whose depth no heart hath sounded,<br \/>\nThat brought Thee here, by foes and thieves surrounded!<br \/>\nAll worldly pleasures, heedless, I was trying<br \/>\nWhile Thou wert dying.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God<\/em>, have mercy on me, a sinner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, <em>have mercy on me, a sinner.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lord, have mercy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christ, have mercy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>O Lord, in wrath, remember mercy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that You may be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I hope. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBehold, this has touched your lips;<br \/>\nYour iniquity is taken away,<br \/>\nAnd your sin purged.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u><br \/>\nCongregation seated<\/u><\/p>\n<p><em>HYMN &#8211; &#8220;In Silent Pain the Eternal Son&#8221;<br \/>\nIn silent pain the eternal Son<br \/>\nHangs derelict and still;<br \/>\nIn darkened day His work is done,<br \/>\nFulfilled, His Father\u2019s will.<br \/>\nUplifted for the world to see<br \/>\nHe hangs in strangest victory,<br \/>\nFor in His body on the tree<br \/>\nHe carries all our ill.<\/p>\n<p>He died that we might die to sin<br \/>\nAnd live for righteousness;<br \/>\nThe earth is stained to make us clean<br \/>\nAnd bring us into peace.<br \/>\nFor peace He came and met its cost;<br \/>\nHe gave Himself to save the lost;<br \/>\nHe loved us to the uttermost<br \/>\nAnd paid for our release.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u><br \/>\nCongregation standing<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Peace be with you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And also with you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For He <em>Himself<\/em> is our Peace.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side.  Do not be faithless, but believing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,<br \/>\nMaker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.<br \/>\nAnd in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God,<br \/>\nBegotten of His Father before all worlds,<br \/>\nGod of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God,<br \/>\nBegotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father,<br \/>\nBy whom all things were made;<br \/>\nWho for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven<br \/>\nAnd was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary<br \/>\nAnd was made man;<br \/>\nAnd was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.<br \/>\nHe suffered and was buried.<br \/>\nAnd the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures<br \/>\nAnd ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.<br \/>\nAnd He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead,<br \/>\nWhose kingdom will have no end.<br \/>\nAnd I believe in the Holy Spirit,<br \/>\nThe Lord and giver of life,<br \/>\nWho proceeds from the Father and the Son,<br \/>\nWho with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified,<br \/>\nWho spoke by the prophets.<br \/>\nAnd I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church,<br \/>\nI acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins,<br \/>\nAnd I look for the resurrection of the dead<br \/>\nAnd the life of the world to come. Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him.
