We deserve but grief and shame,
\nYet His words, rich grace revealing,
\nPardon, peace, and life proclaim.
\nHere their ills have perfect healing
\nWho with humble hearts believe–

Sheep that from the fold did stray
\nNo true shepherd e’er forsaketh:
\nWeary souls that lost their way
\nChrist, the Shepherd, gently taketh
\nIn His arms that they may live–

Come, ye sinners, one and all,
\nCome, accept His invitation;
\nCome, obey His gracious call,
\nCome and take His free salvation!
\nFirmly in these words believe:
