{"id":2661,"date":"2013-02-02T09:50:06","date_gmt":"2013-02-02T13:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oldsandals.net\/?p=2661"},"modified":"2013-02-04T09:56:28","modified_gmt":"2013-02-04T13:56:28","slug":"tears-and-the-joyous-shouting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.oldsandals.net\/?p=2661","title":{"rendered":"Tears and the joyous shouting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood<sup>[<a title=\"See footnote d\" href=\"#fen-NKJV-12108d\">d<\/a>]<\/sup> in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel.\u00a0\u00a0And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: \u201cFor He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel.\u201d Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><sup>\u00a0<\/sup>But many of the priests and Levites and heads of the fathers\u2019 houses, old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this temple was laid before their eyes.
