And I will not give My glory to another.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Lord God knew from eternity how things would go.\u00a0 He knew that Adam &amp; Eve, though made in His image and likeness, and given the high privilege of communing with the Lord God of creation, would turn away in disobedience.\u00a0 He knew what a fateful decision that would prove to be.\u00a0 He knew what He would do about it all.\u00a0 He knew from eternity.\u00a0 It did not take Him by surprise.\u00a0 He knew that He would eventually become a man Himself, to redeem the world, to conquer sin and death, by offering Himself as the sacrifice. The Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.\u00a0 He knew that although He would be patient with Adam&#8217;s descendants,\u00a0and longsuffering, that many would reject Him, choosing to follow instead gods of their own making.\u00a0 But He also knew that many would turn to Him, drawn by the work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts.\u00a0 &#8220;For whom He foreknew&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What about you, reader.\u00a0 What about you?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned?
