Or declare to us the things to come, tell us what the future holds,\u00a0\u00a0so we may know\u00a0that you are gods. Do something, whether good or bad,\u00a0\u00a0so that we will be dismayed\u00a0and filled with fear.\u00a0But you are less than nothing\u00a0and your works are utterly worthless;\u00a0whoever chooses you is detestable.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The idols were challenged to foretell the future, as a test of their &#8220;God-ness&#8221;.\u00a0 The strong implication here is that no one can foretell the future, except God alone.\u00a0 These verses do not square with the notion of open theism.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tell us, you idols, what is going to happen.
