Give ear to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah. <\/em><em><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><em>\u201cTo what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?\u201d, says the Lord. \u201cI have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs or goats.\u00a0When you come to appear before Me, who has required this from your hand, to trample My courts?\u00a0Bring no more futile sacrifices. Incense is an abomination to Me.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Reality check. The Lord was not impressed with the multitude of sacrifices offered to Him, especially if they were offered by people whose hearts were far estranged. It is no different today.
