{"id":1680,"date":"2012-05-23T08:32:03","date_gmt":"2012-05-23T12:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oldsandals.net\/?p=1680"},"modified":"2012-05-30T09:06:04","modified_gmt":"2012-05-30T13:06:04","slug":"1-chronicles-4-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.oldsandals.net\/?p=1680","title":{"rendered":"(2 Chronicles 4) A temple"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Thus Solomon had all the furnishings made for the house of God: the altar of gold and the tables on which was the showbread;\u00a0\u00a0the lampstands with their lamps of pure gold, to burn in the prescribed manner in front of the inner sanctuary,\u00a0with the flowers and the lamps and the wick-trimmers of gold, of purest gold;\u00a0the trimmers, the bowls, the ladles, and the censers of pure gold. As for the entry of the sanctuary, its inner doors to the Most Holy Place, and the doors of the main hall of the temple, were gold.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>King Solomon felt that, as my Mom used to say, &#8220;the best is none too good&#8221;, especially where the Lord&#8217;s temple was concerned. He literally spared no expense in its construction. And yet, in the final analysis, it was just a building; it would in time succomb to the elements, and to the ravages of a foreign army.<\/p>\n<p>Dear Christian, if you have surrendered your life to the Master Builder, you, like Solomon&#8217;s edifice, are a temple of Holy Spirit of God.
